Els que han corregut alguna vegada la Mitja de Riba-Roja, ja saben que se puja, se baixa, se torna a pujar i així fins a meta, tot i el traçat, hui en dia podem comprovar que es poden fer barbaritats, el guanyador Justus Kiprono va invertir 1h01’44” i la primera dona Jeptos Priscah en 1h11’12”. Un total de 886 atletes van ser els que finalitzarem la carrera i el temps ideal per a córrer.
El Garbí va estar present en aquesta nova edició de la Mitja Internacional, amb un total d’onze atletes, en el que la carrera va servir com a entrenament per a les maratons de Paris i Madrid en el cas de Rafa Escolano. Amb molt bones sensacions van finalitzar els atletes del nostre Club, destacant en dones a les tres participants que acabaren molt satisfetes Lourdes Vidal, Mayte Gonzalez i Petra Wauters totes en fase preparatòria per a la marató, en homes destacar el bon estat de forma de Daniel Jiménez 1h28’56” i José Mañez 1h29’13”, també al tàndem format per Andres Villanueva i Jordi Pascual, i com no a la resta de companys.

Kiko, recuperat aquesta setmana i no forces, només ens queden 4 setmanes i un total de 3 llargs. El que esta a les cames no t’ho lleva ningú, per lo tant abaixa les teues pretensions si vols acabar-la i ànim corrent a menor ritme segur que et recuperes, Ànim company¡¡¡

Ànim Kiko, com diu David, el que ja portes no t’ho lleva ningú. De vegades, ho dic per experiència, una lesió és una oportunitat per descansar i recuperar el cos. Vull dir que fins que soluciones una lesió concreta, la resta del cos també va sanant petites microlesions i sobrecàrregues gràcies a eixe “forçat descans”. Després tornes més fort a poc que recuperes. Per tant ànim, calma i cas al fisio.
Pel que fa a la Mitja de Ribarroja…UNA FLIPÀ DE CARRERA. Dureta, amb un plus de repte per les contínues pujades/baixades, però molt entretinguda i bé organitzada.
